Behind the Vision: An Exclusive Interview with the Creator of TrueTale

In this exclusive interview, we have the privilege of exploring the innovative vision behind TrueTale Publishing, a platform poised to transform the literary world. The brainchild of an experienced professional who began their career at one of the world’s top literary agencies, TrueTale combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence with a deep appreciation for human creativity.

This revolutionary approach seeks to empower aspiring authors worldwide, providing them with tools, visibility, and opportunities previously reserved for the elite. Discover how TrueTale is reshaping the future of literature, one manuscript at a time.

  1. How did the idea for TrueTale come about?
The idea stems from a dual personal experience. I am actually an engineer but some years ago joined uncle Luigi Bernabò as a literary agent at Luigi Bernabò Associates, one of the most prestigious literary agencies in the world, renowned for representing global literary icons such as Dan Brown, Ken Follett, John Le Carré, Paul Auster, and Helga Schneider. During those years, I saw firsthand the enormous number of manuscripts that arrive daily, many of which, unfortunately, remain unread because evaluating them all would take an excessive amount of time.
Later, I was forced to get back on my original path and lately to AI. This led me to imagine a way to combine my two great passions: literature and technological innovation. Thus, the idea of creating an AI capable of reading and evaluating manuscripts was born, giving aspiring writers worldwide a chance to be noticed. From there, the step towards creating a ranking system and a literary competition was a natural one
  2. What is TrueTale’s contribution to the literary ecosystem?
TrueTale represents an innovative and healthy approach to the use of artificial intelligence. Instead of using it to generate content, as is often the case, we use it to evaluate content created by humans. This is an important paradigm shift: artificial intelligence does not replace human creativity but supports and enhances it.
This tool allows hundreds of manuscripts to be analyzed quickly and fairly, offering a chance even to those who lack the connections or resources to emerge in the publishing world. Furthermore, it is an example of how technology can be used to democratize access to opportunities that were once reserved for a select few.
  3. What are the prizes for the competition?
The winner of the competition receives:
    • Digital publication with TrueTale Publishing on platforms like Amazon Kindle and Apple Store.
    • Submission of the manuscript to all major publishers and literary agents worldwide, providing a real opportunity to be noticed on a global scale.
    • A dedicated interview with the author, published on our channels to increase visibility.
    • Creation of a dedicated book cover.
In short, we provide the author with everything they need to kickstart their career in the best possible way.
  4. What are the main rules of the competition?
The competition is held every season and is open to all aspiring writers worldwide and features a general category and six subcategories, ensuring 7 distinct winners as the general category winner cannot also win in the subcategories. Manuscripts must be unpublished, and participants are allowed to edit them and submit different versions.
  1. What are TrueTale’s future directions?
We are working to further improve our algorithm’s capabilities. We aim to provide increasingly reliable evaluations, based not only on technical criteria but also on metrics such as originality and market potential.
Additionally, we plan to introduce new award categories, such as recognitions for specific literary genres (mystery, fantasy, romance) or awards dedicated to short stories. We are also considering a mentorship program for winners, with professional editors helping them further develop their texts.
  2. Can you give us a sneak peek of something upcoming?
We are about to launch a fun and unique initiative: a competition dedicated to the greatest bestsellers in history. By feeding some of the most famous titles ever written into our artificial intelligence, we will let the algorithm analyze and rank them to determine which masterpiece stands out as the best. This initiative is not only a creative way to engage the public but also an exciting experiment to test and showcase the capabilities of our technology in evaluating world-renowned works of literature.
In addition to this, we are preparing to take on an even greater challenge: a thorough, in-depth evaluation of The Lord of the Rings. This iconic epic, with its complex narrative, intricate world-building, and profound themes, will serve as the ultimate test for our SMTA (Semantic Manuscript Text Analysis) technology. Tackling such a monumental text allows us to demonstrate our AI’s ability to analyze “tomes” — lengthy, richly layered works of fiction that demand not just technical analysis but an understanding of structure, style, and the deeper semantic nuances that define timeless literature. Through this mission, we aim to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve, setting a new standard for how technology can interpret and evaluate even the most challenging creative works.
  3. Why should an author choose TrueTale?
For a small fee of just 9$ TrueTale offers something that few others can: a combination of advanced technology and deep respect for human creativity. Participating in our competition means having a real chance to emerge, with a transparent, fast, and fair process. In an increasingly competitive publishing world, TrueTale represents an open door for everyone, without filters or favoritism.
  4. How is the quality of manuscript evaluation ensured?
Our algorithm is designed to analyze manuscripts from multiple perspectives: structure, plot, style, originality and many more. And e very section of the workflow was tested and fine tuned meticolously. It took months, but this ensure top level reliability, that is the core of our wider poject.
  5. So What is TrueTale’s true mission?
Our mission is to give a voice to anyone with a story to tell, breaking down the barriers that often prevent aspiring writers from being heard. We are passionate about creating a world where creativity has no borders, and every individual, regardless of their background, resources, or connections, has the opportunity to share their unique perspective with the world. Talent knows no limits, and we believe it can emerge from anywhere—whether from a bustling city or a quiet rural village. It is our duty to discover, support, and amplify this talent, nurturing it so that it can thrive. TrueTale aims to serve as the vital bridge between the raw creativity of authors and the global publishing industry, opening doors to opportunities that were once reserved for only a fortunate few.
In addition to this, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve in the literary field. Our vision goes beyond simply providing a platform for writers; we strive to develop the most advanced technology for reading, understanding, and analyzing texts. Unlike many systems that focus solely on processing encyclopedic or fact-based information, we are dedicated to interpreting rich, semantic texts—narratives filled with nuance, emotion, and complexity. This includes analyzing structure, style, originality, and the deeper meanings behind creative works. By doing so, we ensure not only accurate and fair evaluations but also a deeper appreciation for the artistry that goes into crafting a story.

With these principles and the continuous improvement of our project, we are confident that TrueTale Publishing will be a revolutionary platform for discovering and promoting new literary talents, setting a new standard in the integration of technology and creativity within the literary world. Our commitment to innovation and inclusivity aims to reshape how stories are evaluated, celebrated, and brought to life, ensuring a brighter future for aspiring writers everywhere.
